Most of our courses grant college credit under a training agreement between Hair California Beauty Academy and Saddleback Community College.  The Saddleback Community College course number and units are listed below each course covered by the agreement.  Students must enroll in these courses online through Saddleback COmmunity College and attend class at Hair California Beauty Academy.


cosmetology-1600 hours
(Saddleback College - Cosmetology 400A )
48 Units - 680 Lecture/920 Laboratory Hours

Principles and practices in cosmetology. Preparation for Board Examination for licensing by the State of California. Laboratory participation includes student demonstration that all performance objectives have been met. 

Students must purchase a cosmetology kit that includes equipment, supplies, and books needed in the program.


manicuring-400 hours
(not a SADDLEBACK COLLEGE offered course)
55 Lecture/345 Laboratory Hours

Complete instruction of nail care as required by State Board of Cosmetology for licensure to operate a nail salon. Nail sculpture included. All phases of artificial nails covered.

Students must purchase a cosmetology kit that includes equipment, supplies, and books needed in the program.

16 Units - 150 Lecture/450 Laboratory Hours 

Complete instruction of skin care as required by State Board of Cosmetology for licensure to operate a skin care salon. Skin care and make up included (all phases).

barbering- 1500 hours

200 Lecture/1300 Laboratory Hours

Instruction in the theory of barbering as required by the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
